Gum 1: Nicotine chewing gum

Smoking is harmful, and quitting is possible. Nicotine chewing gum was invented to make it easier to stop smoking. If you chew nicotine gum, you ingest nicotine into your body, but your lungs stay healthy.

Nicotine can also be ingested orally with chewing tobacco, which is used in some parts of the United States. A typically Swedish product is snus, a moist form of tobacco, sold either loose or in small tea bag-like packets; snus is tucked behind the upper lip for several minutes.
