Snorting 4: From the heart to the brain

Part of the blood containing the heroin molecules flows to the brain via the aorta.

When heroin is snorted, its molecules do not all arrive in the brain at the same time, as happens when heroin is injected. As a result, the user does not experience a strong ‘rush’ or ‘buzz’, but a more gradual effect.
