From the liver to the heart

The blood containing the MDMA molecules and metabolites collects in the hepatic vein. This conducts the blood back to the heart.

It is pumped into the pulmonary circulation to pick up oxygen and release its carbon dioxide. It is then transported on to the rest of the body via the aorta.
