Ecstasy in the brain

Neurons, the cells of the brain, communicate with one another by releasing chemical messengers known as neurotransmitters. MDMA molecules intensify the communication between neurons that work with the neurotransmitter serotonin. This process alters the activity in certain parts of the brain.
