From the brain to the heart

The blood has meanwhile delivered its oxygen to the brain cells and absorbed carbon dioxide from them. Gradually, it will also pick up the MDMA molecules and take them back to the heart.

The heart will first pump the blood through the pulmonary circulation. When the blood returns to the heart, it has absorbed enough oxygen to be pumped through the body via the aorta.
