Cannabis

The routes of cannabis through the body

Marijuana, also called grass or pot, is a mixture of the dried flowering tops and leaves of the cannabis plant (Indian hemp). Hashish, or hash, is made by collecting the resinous substance that exudes from these tops and pressing it into blocks. Hash oil is made by processing hashish with a solvent such as alcohol or petroleum ether.

Cannabis (marijuana or hashish) is usually smoked. This can be done in a pipe or by rolling a cannabis cigarette (a joint). Often the marijuana or hashish in a joint is mixed with Tobacco. Cannabis can also be eaten, usually in cake form (spacecake, hash brownies). You can also use a vaporizer to consume cannabis. With this method you vaporize the active ingredients instead of burning them. This is a lot less harmfull for you lungs. The route through your body is the same as with smoking.
