Part of the blood containing amphetamine molecules reaches the brain via the aorta. It diffuses through the tiny capillaries of the brain. When you snort amphetamine, you start experiencing the effects about 3 minutes later.
The effects occur more quickly than when amphetamine is taken by mouth, but they last a shorter time. Snorting speed is more risky than taking it by mouth. It damages your nasal membranes and can cause chronic nasal congestion and frequent nosebleeds. Your ability to taste and smell may become impaired.
